“EyeOnWater provides residents with more convenience when reading their meter, in less time and for no cost,”said William J. Ellinger, Chairman of the Bethpage Water District Board of Commissioners. “With constant digital access to meter data, residents can actively adjust water consumption to ensure a smaller bill and to help conserve water.”
Bethpage Water District encourages residents and local commercial business owners in need of this upgrade to call the District at (516) 931-0093 to make an appointment and install their new meter. Installation will take approximately 30 minutes, and once completed, residents are encouraged to visit the District’s website for instructions on setting up their digital monitoring account. .
“Not only does this new system offer a convenient option to view water usage data, but the system includes an email alert feature for leaks,” added Gary S. Bretton, secretary of the Bethpage Water District Board of Directors. “We can now solve water usage problems quicker, before a customer is charged for a leak they were unaware of or could not control.”
“We plan on continuing this meter upgrade process with a new mobile application,” concluded John R. Sullivan, treasurer of the Bethpage Water District Board of Commissioners. “The District will take speed and convenience one step further by granting residents access to all meter data and alerts virtually, from any location via their mobile devices.”
Don’t forget to visit the Bethpage Water District’s booth at the Bethpage Chamber of Commerce Summer Fair August 7-10 from 6-11p.m. Residents are encouraged to stop by and learn more about how the District delivers the highest quality of drinking water possible every day, and tips on how to help protect their water supply. The Fair will take place at Briarcliffe College, 1055 Stewart Avenue in Bethpage.
